Entity Extraction & Recognition: Automatic Data Intelligence from Conversations
Agentwise now automatically detects and extracts named entities from your data — people, organizations, locations, IBANs, VAT numbers, and more — powered by Microsoft Presidio and Azure Language Services.
Conversations contain a lot more structured information than most systems bother to capture. Names, organizations, locations, phone numbers, financial identifiers — this data flows through agent conversations and knowledge bases constantly, but without extraction it’s invisible.
Agentwise now surfaces this automatically.
What Gets Extracted
The entity extraction engine recognizes a broad range of entity types out of the box:
- People — names mentioned in conversations or documents
- Organizations — company names, institutions, departments
- Locations — cities, countries, addresses
- Contact information — phone numbers, email addresses
- Financial identifiers — IBANs, VAT numbers
- Technical identifiers — IP addresses
- Identity documents — German and EU ID numbers
This list covers the most common needs for enterprise use cases. Additional entity types can be added as requirements emerge.
Where It Appears
Extracted entities appear in a sidebar on each data item — so when you’re reviewing an imported document or a conversation record, you can immediately see what entities were found in it.
The Entity management UI gives you an organization-wide view: browse all extracted entities, see which documents or conversations they appear in, and identify patterns across your data.
Powered by Established Infrastructure
Entity extraction is powered by Microsoft Presidio and Azure Language Services — both mature, well-tested systems with strong support for European languages and compliance use cases.
This combination means the extraction is reliable, privacy-aware (Presidio was originally built for PII detection and anonymization), and runs within your existing Azure infrastructure.
Practical Uses
- Quickly identify which documents mention a specific supplier or partner
- Surface all conversations where a particular issue or location was discussed
- Support compliance workflows that require tracking where personal data appears
- Build richer search and filtering on top of your knowledge base
